Antivirus

Most present viruses, trojans and malware software  use powerful defend methods against antivirus software. Even if the Antivirus scanners detects them, they are not able to fully remove the viruses from the system

GMER allows to kill all processes and system libraries that could have been modified by the virus and run the antivirus scanner in the clean environment enabling it to be more efficient.

You can ran any online or standalone antivirus scanner. e.g.

To start the scanning, follow the following steps: 

Step 1) Select the antivirus scanner (e.g ArcaBit Scanner) on the 'Settings' tab and click OK button.

Step 2) Run GMER and select "AV Scanner" tab.

Step 3) Install the software if the scanner was not installed yet.

Step 4) Click "Kill all" button on the 'Processes' tab'. It will create a clean environment  and allow the scanner to work without any other software running.

Step 5) Select "AV Scanner" tab and start the scanning.

If you want to scan the system using one of the preinstalled standalone antivirus scanner, follow the following steps:

Step 1) Click 'Kill all' button on the 'Processes' tab.

Step 2) Browse for the antivirus software using "..." button.

Step 3) Run the scanner with the "Run" button.

4) Start scanning.

You can add any online scanner by modifying gmer.ini file. Just add the internet address to the "AVScanner" section in the configuration file:
